Paul Offit is an American pediatrician with the specialty of infections diseases, vaccines, immunology and virology. He is the co-inventor of the rotavirus vaccine.

He is the Professor of Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. He is also the Director of the Vaccine Education Center at the Children’s Hospital of Philedephia.

Dr. Offitt has been a member of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices. Offit is a board member of Every Child By Two and a founding board member of Autism Science Foundation.

He has published more than 160 papers in medical and scientific journals specific to rotavirus immune responses and vaccine safety. He has coauthored books on vaccines and antibiotics. He is one of the most public figures stating that vaccines do not cause autism.

The autistic community thanks him for his contribution to the advancement of vaccines and being a public figure for proving vaccines are safe and effective.

Was featured in the Documentary The Anti Vax Conspiracy

He was a featured person in the documentary. He even told the Vaxxed crew to “get the fuck out of here.”

What is the issue?

Dr. Paul Offitt is a founding Board member of Autism Science Foundation. He is currently on the board of directors at this organization. Their mission is to support autism research by providing funding and other assistance to scientists and organization conducting research. They provide information to increase awareness (not acceptance) of autism and the needs of the families “affected by autism.”

Dr. Offit currently donates all his royalties from the sale of his books “Autism’s False Prophets: Bad Science, Risky Medicine and the Search for the Cure” and “Deadly Choices” to Autism Science Foundation.

Autism Science Foundation said,”All royalties are being donated to the Autism Science Foundation so that we can fund studies to uncover what really DOES cause autism.”
