Su Asaad is from Turkey and was born in 1987. She is a musician and sound engineer with no medical background. She graduated from Bilgi University, Department of Sound Technologies in 2008. She also graduated from SAE Institute Department of Sound engineering in Los Angeles in 2010. Asaad has worked with Natalie Cole, The Cranberries, Alan Parsons and others.
In 2011, she had three HPV vaccines administered and says she was left with extreme fatigue and nearly fainted. “I wanted to sleep all day, every day.”She says it caused breathing problems, fatigue, and heart palpitations. She had to leave work.
One month later, she was experiencing dysautonomia, nausea, fainting, GI issues, abdominal bloating, Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) and seizures. She was diagnosed with temporal lobe epilepsy.
Explanation and Facts About these Conditions
POTS
Epilepsy
According to the Mayo Clinic, Epilepsy is known to develop into adulthood. According to the Mayo Clinic, epilepsy is a central nervous system disorder where the brain activity becomes abnormal, causing seizures or periods of unusual behavior, sensations and sometimes loss of awareness. Anyone can develop epilepsy. It occurs in males and females of all races, ethnic backgrounds, and ages.
Schedule and Possible Reactions of HPV Vaccine
She made it sound like she received the injections all at once. According to the CDC schedule, if the patient is 16 or older, the schedule is three injections over the course of six months. For ages 11-12, children receive 2 injections over 6 months.
Vaccine reactions do happen. They do not cause autism but they do happen. No one is saying they do not. According to the CDC, the possible reactions for the Gardasil vaccine are
- Pain, redness, or swelling in the arm where the shot was given
- Fever
- Headache or feeling tired
- Nausea
- Muscle or joint pain
Severe allergic reactions following vaccination are rare but can be life-threatening.
Symptoms of a severe allergic reaction may include :
- hives
- swelling of the face and throat
- difficulty breathing, a fast heartbeat
- dizziness
- weakness.
If such reactions occur, seek immediate medical attention.
Biofeedback
In November 2012, she said biofeedback brought her seizures under control and allowed her to return back to work.
According to the Mayo Clinic, biofeedback is a technique that someone can use to learn to control body functions, such as heart rate. When participating in biofeedback, the patient is connected to electrical sensors that help receive information about the body.
The feedback helps makes subtle changes in the body. This can be relaxing specific muscles to reduce pain. Biofeedback gives the patient the ability to practice new ways to control the body, often to improve health condition or physical performance.
The conditions biofeedback is used for are:
- anxiety or stress
- asthma
- ADHD
- chemotherapy side effects
- chronic pain
- constipation
- fecal incontinence
- fibromyalgia
- headache
- high blood pressure
- irritable bowel syndrome
- Raynaud’s disease
- ringing in the ears
- stroke
- temporomandibular joint disorder (TMJ)
- Urinary incontinence.
The type of biofeedback Su Asaad probably used a was brainwave feedback. This type uses sensors to monitor brain waves using an electroencephalograph (EEG). Epilepsy is not in the list of conditions it used for.
The FDA approved biofeedback devices for reducing stress and lowering blood pressure. It is not approved for seizure management. They do not regulate devices for home use. Some products may be falsely marked as biofeedback devices and not all biofeedback practitioners are legitimate.
Abnormal Pap Smear
In October 2016, she had a biopsy due to an abnormal pap smear. She had CIN3. It was a high-grade dysplasia/un stu squamous cell carcinoma. This was what the HPV vaccine prevents but it is not 100 percent. She refused surgery. She said she is cured with a ketogenic diet. “I boosted my immune system with L-lysine and Beta-glucan, biofeedback and exercise.”
According to the National Cancer Institute, CIN 3 is when severely abnormal cells are found on the surface of the cervix. CIN3 is usually caused by human papillomavirus (HPV) and found when a cervical biopsy is performed. If it isn’t treated the cells can become cancer and spread to other tissue. The treatment for CIN 3 is cryotherapy, laser therapy, loop electrosurgical procedure (LEEP), or a cone biopsy to remove or destroy the abnormal tissue. The treatment for this is not a ketogenic diet or extra supplements. There is no proof that she did not receive the recommended treatment for her CIN3.
Turned Antivaxxer
It is awful the side effects of the vaccine she suffered. As explained above, not all her medical conditions were caused by the vaccine. She has no medical experience or education. She is a sound engineer pushing her anti-vaccine agenda.
Her website
She organized the International Vaccine Facts Symposium. The fee to participate is 100 Lira. The symposium was supposed to take place at Yeditepe University and was limited to 1200 people. After the reactions on social media, the university announced that they did not approve the symposium and there would not be a space set aside for the event. Asaad did not cancel but will be held on March 8, 2020.
There will be a screening of Vaxxed at her symposium.
The disclaimer on the Symposium Website:
“No information at this conference is presented by Isuda or Isudastaff members or volunteers as medical advice. Patients / caregivers should research all information given. Every person’s physiology is unique. All information should be discussed with the patient’s personal physician and / or other specialist appropriate to the symptoms or body systems involved in their individual situation, who provides the patient with regular medical oversight, monitoring, and lab testing, and who keeps up-to- date on the most recent research and interventions. Beginning any significant biomedical or other interventions that may impact physiology or making changes to an established regimen should be discussed with the patient’s physician in advance.”
The schedule of the syposium:
Su Asaad is a Speaker at AutismOne 2020. She is likely speaking about the “dangers” of vaccines.
