Quack Exposed: Dr. Bonnie Brandes

Dr. Bonnie Brandes holds a Bachelor of Science from Utah State University in psychology and Behavior Modification and a Masters Degree in Multicultural Language development from National University. She has studied herbs and nutrition for over 40 years. She has a background in kinesiology programs such as Touch for Health. She was an MNRI  International Specialist and Instructor. She is a licensed Kinesiologist (Brain Gym) consultant and instructor.

Brades developed a program called Quantum Reflex Integration. It uses the QRI Harmonic low-level laser combined with sound frequencies and reflex integration reflexes. She has worked with frequencies for over 30 years using various machines and generators. She travels all over the world to train parents and professionals on QRI protocols.

Brades wrote a book explaining her QRI protocol. It is called “The Symphony of Reflexes: Interventions for Autism, ADHD, Cerebral Palsy and Human Development.” She talks about primitive reflexes and presents specific movements in her program,” QRI Brain Boost.” She designed it to change children with learning disabilities and neurological conditions. She uses acu-reflex points and cold laser to integrate primitive reflexes. She believes this is a guide fro recover of the nervous system for autistic people, ADHD and other disabilities. She calls it a guide for human development and maximizing human potential.

She believes that the incidence of autism and other sensory and neurological disorders continues to climb at an “alarming rate.” She says this rate cannot be explained by “better labeling or improved disagnostic techniques.”

There are better diagnostic techniques and that is why more people are being diagnosed.

“With ADD, ADHD and autism being disorders resulting from non-typical neural development, it makes sense to address the reflexes which are the foundation of neural development. Important, “must have” information for a classroom teacher or a parent with concerns about a child’s success in the classroom. I wish I had this information 18 years ago when my son was first diagnosed with autism at age 3. Investigating reflex integration 10 years ago, there were only expensive and lengthy therapies available. I believe the therapies that we did pursue would have had faster and longer lasting results with integrated reflexes. This book provides information so that parents can guide their children through exercises in their home and get results. I cannot think of a better gift to a child than having a neurological system that is able to perform the way it is supposed to perform. Get it, read it, do it.”

Brandes lives in central Florida on Kings Bay with her husband and mini-schnauzer. She holds classes that train professionals and parents on primitive reflexes and how to integrate them.
